Pajuperänkangas (Haapajärvi)

In production

In 2012, Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Pajuperänkangas wind power project in the Haapajärvi area of Northern Ostrobothnia. Construction work on the project was completed in spring 2024, and 14 wind turbines were constructed at the Pajuperänkangas wind farm.

The Pajuperänkangas wind farm produces renewable electricity by using the V162 turbines (6.2 MW) by Vestas. The wind farm has a maximum installed capacity of 87 MW and produces an estimated 280 GWh of emission-free, renewable energy per year. This corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 15 000 four-person households living in electrically heated detached houses, with an average energy consumption of approximately 19 000 kWh per year.

This project was realised in cooperation with ABO Energy Suomi Oy.
