Mutkalampi (Kalajoki-Kannus-Kokkola)
In production
Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Mutkalampi wind power project in 2010. The Mutkalampi wind farm consists of 69 wind turbines located in the municipalities of Kalajoki, Kannus, and Kokkola in Central and Northern Ostrobohnia. The wind farm covers an area of 4800 hectares, making it one of the largest wind farms in Finland.
Infinergies Finland Oy was involved in the development of the project until 2019. The wind farm was completed in 2022 and, in 2023, a total of 69 wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 404 MW were connected to the grid in two phases. The selected turbine types were the V162 with 6.0 MW and the V150 with 4.3 MW, both from Vestas. The wind farm’s annual energy production is 1075 GWh, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 57 000 four-person households living in electrically heated detached houses, with an average energy consumption of 19 000 kWh per year.
This project was planned in cooperation with Prokon Wind Energy Finland Oy.
